Go ahead and ask yourself those questions. The answers will help you pinpoint your areas of weakness. Glancing over your site, I see issues in your keyword placement, titles images, and meta tags (you really need descriptions!). Further, for back links, I would make sure to get a lot of content on there first; then you can submit information to sources which will allow you to link back to your content. There are very tried and tested methodologies for this, with which I work with clients on a regular basis. I plan on blogging about some of these in the future.
